The Director of Distribution Operations has primary responsibility for oversight and management of the cost plus 3 rd Party distribution center charged with receiving, processing, and ship merchandise to our Reebok retail stores, ecommerce customers, and wholesale customers. The Director collaborates with key partners across the organization in the planning and execution of the Reebok distribution center operations. The individual will be held accountable for service level performance, adhering to budgetary requirements, and directing continuous improvement projects. The successful candidate brings retail apparel and ecommerce distribution experience in an automated facility, a drive to own and lead the operation, and a team mentality to share best practices across brands. Position Responsibilities:
- Communicate plans and expectations to third party contractor, including receipt plans; floor set programs, shipping schedule and the prioritization of workload.
- Identify and share key performance metrics, and take action to ensure all Service Level Agreements are adhered to.
- Manage the expenses in the facilities, and work with the third party providers to improve efficiency and drive expense reductions.
- Act as a liaison between the Distribution Centers and Corporate Production, Allocation, Store Operations, Ecommerce, Wholesale, and IT teams.
- Develop direct reports to own and lead aspects of the business through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Lead continuous improvement and optimization of the distribution center material handling equipment, processes, and systems.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- 7-10 years of logistics experience in a high volume, automated facility, 3-5 of which include full building responsibility
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and processes for retail, ecommerce, and wholesale.
- Experience in 4-wall expense management
- Strong collaboration, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- A college degree is required
