The Splendid Marketing team is searching for a highly qualified Marketing Specialist to support the department’s initiatives. This is a unique and highly valued role that takes on both creatively driven and data driven projects, and has opportunities to learn and lead. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives and brand goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, project management, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Specialist must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once, meet tight deadlines, and wear multiple hats.
The role will support 360 marketing including brand, social, stores, and public relations. With a passion for integrated marketing, the coordinator flexes both their analytical skills and creative muscles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Brand Planning & Execution
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns, ensuring all elements align with brand guidelines and objectives
- Partner with social media manager to cast talent and create meaningful social media content
- Collaborate with Marketing Manager and store teams on store marketing initiatives
- Drive consistency across the brand’s visuals and voice
- Assist in writing copy for various channels, including email, social, website, etc.
- Prepare competitive research, audience insights, and other reporting projects
- Research new technologies and ways of doing things that can help move the brand forward
- Take lead on special projects (e.g. charity partnerships) acting as a CEO for that project
Project Management
- Work closely with PR agency on concepting and communicating monthly strategies and providing product and sale details
- Build reports that recap brand performance across all levels and channels
- Maintain annual marketing calendar
- Assist Marketing Manager and Marketing Director with department project management
- Source vendors, place orders, and coordinate deliveries of marketing materials and items
- Work across the wholesale, ecommerce, and store teams to ensure consistency across all assets and deliverables
- Budget facilitation on a project level, requesting quotes and negotiating contract details
- Facilitate creative asset workflows, from website product copy to monthly advertising needs
Creative Production
- Support creative production budgets, processes, samples, and communications for select shoots/categories
- Own sample check in process, tracking deliveries to have complete clarity on timelines, regularly updating internal tracker and sharing updates
- Assist in managing relationships with 3rd party creative partners, including negotiation and execution
- Coordinate creative asset needs with wholesale, e-com, PR, merchandising and design for all channels
- Overseeing scheduling and delegating tasks of temporary styling assistants as needed
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of proven experience in marketing roles, fashion experience a plus
- Passion for fashion and a keen eye for design trends
- A self-starter with a genuine passion for the Splendid brand
- An analytical thinker, intelligent, quick thinking, and a problem solver
- Creative, imaginative, and able to contribute strong ideas
- Strong understanding of best practices in digital and social media
- "Roll up your sleeves" attitude with a willingness to be very hands on
- Proficiency in social media platforms and marketing tools
- Exceptional organization and communication skills
- Well-versed in Microsoft excel, experience in Asana and Google Analytics a plus
- This position involves regular walking, standing. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching and lifting boxes up to 30 lbs
CALIFORNIA PAY RATE: $50,000 - $60,000
