General Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Wave Planner to join our dynamic team at our Irvine California distribution center. The Wave Planner will be responsible for optimizing the workflow of order fulfillment operations by developing and executing wave planning strategies. This role ensures efficient allocation of resources, timely order processing, and adherence to service level agreements.

Essential Job Functions

Wave Planning and Allocations Coordination:

•Develop and implement wave planning strategies to optimize order fulfillment processes.

•Coordinate the release of orders into the warehouse management system based on priorities and service level agreements.

•Monitor and adjust wave plans in real-time to address any operational issues, changes in demand or service level requirements.

•Support Allocation Manager in processing of orders through the inventory management and warehouse management systems.

Resource Allocation:

•Analyze workforce capacity and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.

•Collaborate with department supervisors to ensure adequate staffing levels are allocated for the processing of orders with requirements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

•Utilize data analysis tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.

•Generate and analyze reports on order processing, resource utilization, and wave performance.

•Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis.

Process Improvement:

•Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

•Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in wave planning and order fulfillment processes.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve overall performance.

System Management:

•Maintain and update the warehouse management system with accurate wave planning data.

•Ensure proper integration of wave planning tools with other operational systems.

•Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues impacting wave planning and order processing.

Communication and Collaboration:

•Serve as the primary point of contact for wave planning-related inquiries and issues.

•Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

•Conduct regular meetings with the operations team to review wave plans and address any concerns.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

•Proven experience in wave planning, order fulfillment, inventory allocations, or warehouse operations.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis tools. Full Circle WMS is a plus.

•Excellent organizational and time management skills.

•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•Knowledge of advanced data analysis tools and techniques.

Required Education and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

•Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

•Certification in supply chain management or logistics.

Physical Requirements

Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports.

Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
